Prayer for Creation
offered by Carlos Agnesi on the planting of
a very special tree in Mexico City
*BROTHER TREE* - We give thanks to God for you, for the shade that
embrace and protect us, for the leaves that clap when His spirit caress
us with the gentle breeze of the morning.
How beautiful are the forests that gives us the air that all creatures
breath onthe earth, that fill us with life and health with their scent
and speak to us about the wonders of our creator.
Thank you for inviting from the heavens the rain and the snow that
water the earth and make it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed
for the sower and bread for the eater, and makes the water run on the
streams and rivers through the mountains and valleys and as the thirsty
deer searchs
for the waters, so our souls longs for you our Lord.
And we ask you today, to guide us to the way to the tree of life, to
love and care for your creatures, with the same love that the father
sent His only son so that anyone who believes in Him will have eternal
life.
So that with that new heart, we cooperate with you on your divine purpose
for creation in order to restore the forests and the beautiful life
that dependson them, that you created them and saw they were good.
"
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to
be revealed, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its
bondage into the glorious freedom of the children of God." ( Rom 8:19,21).
Thanks to the Madona of Guadalupe for the beautiful flowers we receive in
our prayers every day as Juan Diego did. This is the day that the Lord has
made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
