Hello Friends!

I apologize for not posting for so long. Every so
often, I get completely overwhelmed with things in my
life, and it seems that my writing always goes into
hiding during these times.

I am super excited in this posting to tell you about a
fabulous project in Brazil that I am supporting.

Last year in July, I went to Brazil for a youth
conference called Connectivity. While there, I met a
young guy named Santiago who has a project called
Aramitan. Aramitan is a healing home and community
for youth who are suffering from violence and drug
addiction—predominantly from the favellas (slums, poor
neighborhoods) in Sao Paolo.

While in Sao Paolo, I went to visit the work camp at
Arimitan, where young people from all over the world
were sharing their skills and resources in the
building of the home and healing center. I was
completely touched and inspired by the vision and work
of Santiago. I decided after visiting the work camp
and meeting with Santiago, that his project was one I
wanted to support on a bigger level.

I helped connect Santiago to the Rudolph Steiner
Foundation in the U.S. so we could create the
opportunity for U.S. based tax-deductible financial
support for his work. And now that has happened!

I am so excited to have this opportunity to connect
you all with Santiago and his work. I cannot begin
to adequately explain the beauty, the profound gift,
the magic, and the deep love that is Aramitan. Go to
www.aramitan.org to learn more, see photos and videos
of the project. Included in one of the videos is a
clip of my time with them, sharing thoughts on the
importance of their work. Please donate to this
inspiring and vital project. It is absolutely
incredible how much they are accomplishing with so
little money. I personally raised and contributed
$5,000 as a challenge grant for all who read this
blog. I ask that you donate and then send an email to
circle@circleoflife.org letting me know how much you
contributed. My commitment is to raise a minimum of
$10,000 for Aramitan. I will match you dollar for
dollar for every dollar you contribute up to $5,000.
Should the community who reads this blog be inspired
and generous and raise above and beyond $5,000, I am
%100 sure it will make a huge difference in the lives
of some very precious and beautiful children in
Brazil.

You can send your check made out to:
Rudolph Steiner Foundation
In the memo: Aramitan
Send to: RSF
1002 A O’Reilly Ave
San Francisco, CA 94219

Please include with your check a note letting RSF know
that your check is a donation to Santiago’s Aramitan
project in Brazil, and that you heard about Aramitan
through Julia Butterfly Hill. I request this so that
I can see how effective this way of sharing
information and requests is for helping build support
for the communities and organizations I work with.

Thank you for who you are and for all you do to make
our world a more beautiful, loving, and healthy place.

Love,

julia b
